Where Were the Parrots and Crows?

During my recent visit to Agra, I sensed that something was missing, but I could not figure out what.

Just now, it struck me: I did not see any parrots or crows.

Peacocks, yes. Pigeons, certainly. But no parrots or crows.

Perhaps they were around and I simply missed them. Still, it is strange how something so familiar can escape your attention until you realize you have not seen it.
